Payments Operations Analyst
Funding Circle.
Leading and delivering on automation and efficiency projects for payment operations. Including
planning projects along the payments roadmap and prioritising projects with the biggest pay-
offs for the team and the company. Working with Product developers to ensure new backend/
software updates are to the benefit of Payment Operations.
• Authorisation of all Payments transactions and conducting senior spot checks on Payment Jira
tickets. This includes authorising, on average, £10 million of loan releases on a daily basis.
• I've created a training matrix to aide the smooth transition of tasks between our German and Netherlands team to our UK team. This has included learning their processes in a short amount
of time and understanding the differences in payments between geographies especially in re-
gards to direct debits and regulations
• Onboarding new clients into our platform, navigating the transition and operationally coordinat-
ing the battle plan with cross-department teams until they're live on our platform and fully lend-
ing
• Heading up the training and on-boarding of new starters in to the payments team, including se-
lecting and interviewing the new candidates and then upon hiring, being accountable for their
training schedule and their understanding of payments processes, ensuring that they are ready to pass their probation. Alongside this, I have weekly 1 to 1catch-ups to aid in their develop-
ment and keep track of their progress.
• To aid new starters, I created a 3 months payments assessment that all Payments Executives had
to take and pass in order to complete their probation successfully. I then created an Authorisa-
tions assessment to ascertain all Payment executives that have a clear knowledge of payments and have been signed off internal authorisations before moving on to external authorisations
which is our biggest risk.
• Experience using Salesforce, Jira and Zendesk and Confluence
