Systems Administrator
Durham University.
Working alongside the IT manager at Durham University. My main function was the day-to-day running of the systems and to ensure high availability.

Installed Veeam as our backup solution for the VMware environment
Deployed System Centre Configuration Manager 2012 for rapid system deployment and application management. Moved the WSUS server function into configuration manager.
Standardization of CEM's hardware to Dell, this saved money, allowed easier management of packages in configuration manager and enabled the built in TPM for encryption using MBAM.
We also took on an apprentice IT Technician who I was responsible for training.
