Reporting to the Managing Director for Rail, the temporary role was initially created to produce a brochure aimed at attracting new employees in readiness for the large trade exhibition at Olympia three months later. This involved getting to know in house recruitment processes, interviewing senior directors, photography and writing employee stories for inclusion in the brochure.
Following successful delivery of the project, the Managing Director asked me to stay on to provide a full Marketing and Communications service aimed at improving customer retention and employee engagement at all three sites Warwick, Canary Wharf and Stratford, East London.
Tasks included driving PR by entering industry awards, portrait photography, writing LinkedIn profiles for senior managers, running marketing campaigns, customer technology events, exhibitions and networking events. The employee engagement activities included writing and designing newsletters, improving team communications and running large scale employee and family events.
