Deployment Consultant
Docman.
As a deployment consultant for PCTi, I have travelled extensively to deliver on site training and support to new customers, working with CCG and CSU IT teams to ensure that disruption to practice staff is minimised and the implementation of the Docman system runs smoothly and effectively. I used my knowledge of working for EMIS and Pennine Care Trust to make a pitch to the PCTi Sales Director, demonstrating how Docman could be further developed to deliver a new product to benefit Community Teams.
• Provide demonstrations of Docman, the benefits and interoperability with other systems
• Deliver training and support practice staff as they upgrade to a new system.
• Deliver pre-migration consultancy and migration training days including liaising with practice staff, Docman Service delivery and IT support teams.
• Feedback any issues with delivery of training to the business in order to develop customer service.

Systems expert and project manager
Howbeck Healthcare.
Thanks to the reputation I developed with both EMIS and Docman, Howbeck brought me in as a systems expert to lead on a project for their Transformation Support Fund with a federation in South Cheshire. My main task was to develop and share knowledge and best practice amongst the federation. I also worked on developing training material for Howbeck on both EMIS and Docman.

(last two months part time) System expert, District Nurse Project Lead
Pennine Care NHS Trust.
In 2016 I started my own company to offer services as a qualified project manager with a specialist knowledge of EMIS Web mainly with Trafford NHS Trust as well as doing some work at East Cheshire NHS Trust. My main achievement was implementing changes to the process of the district nursing service, rationalising the use of two systems into one. This included improvements to their data entry and ensuring Information Governance Standards were adhered to, in order to improve the patient experience and quality of data for reporting purposes.
I worked closely with analytics teams ensuring data, they required, was easily entered by the community teams.
• Plan/deploy process redesign to realise efficiencies and output improvements for a large community service.
• Consult and deliver BAU improvements to processes and system uses.
• Operate within the systems team to manage the ongoing use of the system.

job
Project Account Manager
EMIS Health Group.
Responsible for project managing the go-live of over 45 services onto the EMIS community system. A highlight for me was being lead project manager and direct link to the customer, for the first of type child health implementation. Unusually for EMIS, I was given direct access to the lead developer and newly formed support team, allowing me to capture the different ways of working, required by child health, and have the EMIS system adapted to meet these new requirements.
As implementation into the services was new to the EMIS team, I was able to work closely with the customer and set aside the tried and tested way of working that had been successful for GP installation. Training community teams on every module in EMIS is of no value. I was able to sit with team leaders, show them the different ways to use EMIS and work with them to identify the most appropriate method for each service. I then created bespoke training material, templates and implementation packages for each service. This ensured that end users knew exactly how their service required them to use EMIS, information required for analytics was captured and the relevant data to be shared across services was captured in a uniform way.
Through this deployment, I developed a reputation as the EMIS 'go to' person, resulting in my travelling to other areas to support the EMIS teams and customers, demonstrating the software and this new way of implementation. I believe my success, is a result of not only being a system expert, but in listening to service personnel, ensuring we fully understand their requirements and ways of working, ensuring they maximise the benefits of their investment.
• Plan and deploy on time and on budget EMIS community EPR solution to Community Trust customers including East Cheshire Trust, Cheshire Wirral Partnership and Pennine Trust - Trafford Division.
• Advise the customer, as a system specialist, with regards to all aspects of the configuration of the EMIS Web system to meet the requirements of the organisation/service Engage at Service Lead level and lead the 'As Is' and 'To Be' workshops/sessions, ensuring documentation is produced to agreed procedures.
• Provide regular project status and highlight reports for each service and manage escalation highlight reports and issue/change/risk documents for each service within the contract.
• Manage customer project managers/service leads expectations and monitor customer perceptions at all levels, at all times and attend customer project board/service user meetings.
• As EMIS Health Project Manager I was the first point of escalation for any issues arising.
• Identify, manage, create business/ cultural processes supporting effective change management procedures
• Carry out risk analysis and assessment in line with departmental guidelines and procedures to ensure change, within the organisation, is managed effectively.
• Ensure stakeholders are fully informed of planned change and facilitate the creation of working partnerships.
I like to read, travel, go to the gym, play rugby and football. I am the captain of a local rugby club and in 5 years I have organised events that have raised over £10,000 for the club and our local children's hospice.
Fortunately, the lessons I've learned whilst working with colleagues in the NHS, have increased my ability to engage with my peers. I set clear objectives, break things down into manageable tasks and ensure that everyone understands the benefits, to themselves and others, encouraging them to invest their time and energy to work with me to achieve our goals.
