I'm offering
I am a highly motivated and resourceful person, with a passion for the music and events industry. I was the first employee of a London music start-up, Kansas Smitty’s, a jazz music venue and record label with their own house band. As Operations Manager I was involved in every aspect of this small and ambitious business, including event production, copywriting and promotion, record production and venue programming. I then worked as Events Manager for a summer at The Five Points Brewing Company, overseeing a packed calendar of beer festivals, markets, events and brewery tours.
I take initiative on projects, and am proactive in a number of different settings. I am a meticulous planner, and am interested in streamlining operations and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency in the hospitality and music industry. My eye for detail and exceptional organisation mean I can juggle multiple calendars at once and meet tight deadlines.
Most recently, I have been working as a freelancer, taking on a variety of projects including copywriting, venue management and working as a Product Manager for an independent music distribution company.

freelance
Copywriter. Freelance
unknown.
I have worked as a self-employed copywriter for the last 18 months, working on numerous clients and projects.
• Biography writing. I have worked for talent agency MN2S since October 2019, writing
biographies for their website. I research and write engaging profiles for musicians, sportspeople,
business leaders and public figures, meeting tight deadlines and keeping to strict word limits.
• Writing a new brochure for an independent catering company. I wrote copy for the brochure,
based on information given to me by the owners as well as my own research, and presented their
vision in a succinct, reader-friendly way. This included laying out the aims and history of the
company, as well as the concept behind the high end, seasonal menu. I also created a number of documents for internal use, and to send to clients.
• Self-publishing an article series, titled Resources for Independent Artists, covering a variety of topics including how to write a great newsletter and how to pitch yourself to venues. These gained
interest and traction online, with engagement from artists and other music industry professionals.
