Here my role was to advise GP surgeries on using their medical IT systems. Attaching up to their computers to ascertain any software or training issues. Using patience and understanding to help the Doctors and their staff navigate around their computer programmes they used to add their consultations, prescriptions and creating medical searches. Also how to create codes or use standard codes to record the medical conditions and appointments onto the systems at the GP surgeries. As well as keeping up to date with the latest technology, we also learned medical terminology to enable us to explain to the GP staff how to input their work onto their medical systems.
