My interest in employment law extends back to 1994 when I successfully graduated from university in Business Law LLB (hons), a major module covered HR and employment law. Although I did not follow an initial career choice at the ‘Bar’ in London, I subsequently worked for several national employment law and HR support companies providing complete solutions, including tribunal support for both regional and national organisations.
This valuable commercial experience provided me with in-depth insight into businesses from c-suite directors to smaller regional operators and the importance of keeping their businesses running smoothly, working to implement measures to help prevent future employee conflict and provide clear, concise employer/employee working relationships.
As a freelance consultant, I cover the whole spectrum of HR and employment law from providing support and advise, drafting all employment documents and letters, implementation of new HR processes and procedures, working with employers on employee relations, covering complex employment matters in providing satisfactory resolution, supporting management in line with embedded processes, and delivering employment law training to both management and employees focussing on the protected characteristics detailed in the Equality Act 2010.
At Level 5 CIPD, I am also qualified to advise and support on complex employment matters and work with the board in change management.
Combining over 25 years of commercial experience, I bring to any project or business, a rich source of business-focussed experience, a leadership and mentor mentality, a can-do attitude, and excellent communication skills to all parties at all levels.
