In this position I offered telephone technical support to users of the Adstream software QuickPrint, which is a PDF
validation and transmission tool for sending media to print publications. End Users commonly used the Adobe
Creative suite or QuarkXpress, generating repro ready ads as PDFs to be sent to publications. As each publication
had different ad spec requirements problems would arise due to the artwork production of the PDF. In the team I was in I would either offer assistance to the client as to where to find the solution or talk them through the stages of their
artwork production to ensure their artwork met the publications specifications. The level of support I could offer would
depend on which version of the software they used, QuickPrint Pro which is a purchased desktop software solution or
QuickPrint Web, which is the (free) online web browser version. Having a very good understanding of print processes and a complete understanding of producing PDF documents for print was critical to this role. Extensive understanding
