9.5 years as a Digital Business Analyst 6+ years working with Agile practices 8.5 years working in Digital Retail & Marketing 22+ years working with IT and Business teams I am a highly self-motivated person, a natural analyst, a deep thinker, with an open mind. I like to understand people's opinions, business and technical context, and "the big picture" before coming to any conclusions. I strive to find solutions that are the correct fit for the business within the constraints; pragmatic and tactical where necessary, strategic wherever possible. I have a total of 22 years of IT experience, having held a wide range of roles, and having been involved in many different projects of varying size, scope and complexity. I consciously moved into the digital space in 1999 and since 2009 it has been my sole focus (primarily in the Retail sector), with projects increasingly being iterative/agile as the industry has trended in that direction. I have a strong focus on self-improvement, continually studying under my own steam ensuring that my knowledge and skills remain current. In 2014, through self-study, I achieved the BCS/ISEB International Diploma in Business Analysis. Since then I have focussed on ensuring I remain on top of the industry trends around agile practices and techniques. I believe that people make or break projects, so I place emphasis on building relationships to underpin any work that I am engaged with. I am absolutely focused on being the best BA / PO that I can be for myself and for my clients. During my varied career I have engaged with (and received positive feedback from) senior stakeholders from Loyalty, eCommerce, Retail, CRM, Fulfilment and IT, eliciting, analysing and documenting requirements, primarily focussing on multi-channel retail, customer experience/retention, sales checkout funnel/conversion, order fulfilment and returns management.
