Growing up within a multilingual family has really emphasised the importance of language, it is the heart of communication and emotion. The ability to learn and speak a foreign language provides the opportunity for a better understanding of another culture and society. I believe Translation plays a key role in modern society, especially with the availability of mass media and globalisation of business. Multiple works such as films, books, scientific studies and Tv shows now are translated into several languages; being more un-common that they aren't. This accessibility of information from across the globe is due to translation and and I am passionate about my role in this.
I've got great interpersonal and communication skills gained from previous experience such as working as an English teaching assistant in France and as a French tutor. This has also led the development of my independence, adaptability and resourcefulness. I have great organisational skills and will always complete tasks meticulously.
