As Head of Member Offer for the National Housing Federation (formerly the Head of External Affairs) I was responsible for overseeing the provision of B2B services to 1000 housing association members. It was my role to ensure that our member offer was clear, well-articulated and compelling value for money. I was also the strategic lead on devolution for the organisation and shaped much of our policy and political lobbying work, leading and participating in a range of working groups to shape new proposals for the sector.
I also played a leading role in shaping and delivering our communication strategy to our members and led much of our organisational and sector wide brand repositioning work. In terms of high-profile communication work, I jointly led the sector’s response to the fire at Grenfell Tower as well as leading on developing and delivering the sector’s Influencing Academy – a three-day residential course to develop the skills of housing professionals to influence effectively.
