My experience
2018 - 2020
job
Director & Interim CEO
Berlugan Group.
Berlugan Group was conceived to provide a self-funded and securitised business to enable energy asset acquisition and subsequent project development.
The business was successfully created via raising a £2billion bond placed on the Wiener Börse in 2019 in addition to engagement of a 3rd party associate fund as a project co-invest partner for securitisation of asset acquisitions.

2017 - 2019
job
Interim Chief Exec
P/F Atlantic Petroleum & Subsidiaries.
Recommended by the Company's major investment party and its convertible debt provider to take on the Chief Executive role on an interim basis after the sudden departure of the previous incumbent and tasked to deliver business restructuring to enable the company to future invest in new energy producing assets in the Atlantic geo region.
At the end of 2017 Atlantic Petroleum was suffering the end effects of the oil industry's longest and deepest downturn and in significant trouble causing major lenders to question its viability. I was engaged on an interim basis to lead the company and work on the business to make it capable of moving forward to grow through acquisition that lenders were willing to support and for a more permanent CEO to engage with and develop further.
My engagement in the role enabled me:
• To dispose of troublesome UKCS license obligations removing the Company from liability for its past and future field liabilities including decommissioning and to post a positive effect on balance sheet relative to this;
• To removing the Company from additional liabilities and major cost contribution obligation on other field licenses to allowing creditor balances to be reduced to zero;
• Ensuring the remaining future revenue delivering assets were correctly valued and usable for CEO and Company board to use as platform for future growth;
• Revising the Company's audit process delivering a less costly solution and enabling a "fresh set of eyes" to deliver balance sheet and P&L benefits.
• Implementing the revised process to show:
➢ Reversing of a previously reported loss of 67k into a 143k profit
➢ Reduction of liabilities from 214k to 102k
➢ Raising shareholder equity from -150K to 60k
➢ With no income, save for lender support, and despite incurrence of continued listed company and legal expenses, maintaining profit during the period of business revision.
Exited when the business reached a competent and base line state with a route set to develop further growth and be attractive to new investment and shareholder participation to drive future security.
