job
Managing Consultant
IBM.
Selected experience:
1. Delivery lead of Salesforce to large public sector client: I led the end-to-end implementation of a cloud-based software platform to over 400 users in response to the pandemic. I led a project team covering business process, product, development, testing, and training – and regularly led conversations with the client to understand strategic goals and design requirements.
2. Metrics lead of SAP Ariba implementation to a multinational pharmaceuticals company: I was responsible for defining key programme success metrics, implementation of these metrics, and communicating insights to senior client stakeholders.
3. Back-office strategy at a UK-based Defence technology company: my role was the design architect. I developed our methodology to improve the client’s inefficient back office processes (Finance and Procurement) in the context of the company’s ambition to double in size in five years. This meant leading a team of 4 people, running workshops, and designing methodology to prioritise recommendations based on cost, complexity, and benefits across process areas including procure-to-pay.
4. Sentiment analysis as a retail company: I led the benefits workstream on a project utilising sentiment analysis for customer complaints. The challenge was to demonstrate to the client that understanding customers’ emotional response based on customer complaint transcripts could tangibly change decision-making within the company and improve the bottom-line. This involved problem-solving, data analysis, and collaborating with data scientists, Finance, and Quality Control stakeholders both internally and externally.
5. Business case at a retail company: I led the business case workstream to determine the payback of implementing a new stocking and finance system. This involved detailed data analysis of client revenue and costs with the ultimate output consisting of a report presented to the Group CFO.

job
Associate, Strategy & Operations Consulting
KPMG.
Selected experience:
1. Data analytics at a global oil & gas company: my role involved providing the client with an accurate understanding of the cost of serving individual customers through allocating overhead costs such as packaging, shipping, fleet drivers, etc. This involved taking large datasets and analysing them in a robust, clear and repeatable way (using Alteryx, an Advanced Analytics Platform).
2. Implementation of a new enquiry-to-quote sales process at a multinational industrial manufacturing company: I worked on a project transforming the client’s complex sales process, reducing the enquiry to quote time from over 20 days to less than 3 hours. I led the implementation of the process within the UK sales team and delivered further optimisation of this process.
3. Robotics opportunity assessment at a global life sciences company: our objective was to determine whether it was possible to develop a solution which would interpret highly unstructured data and recommend an accounting treatment for a finance practitioner’s approval.
4. Operational cost-cutting transformation at a European transport provider: this involved developing an accurate view of the client’s third party spend, identifying tactical procurement savings initiatives, and ultimately implementing them to achieve quick and sustainable savings.
5. Shared services strategy, organisation design, and Trintech implementation at a Utilities company: (a) alongside a Senior Manager, I developed a strategy paper for the Head of Shared Services, (b) conducted a major organisation re-design due to the separation and sale of a significant business unit, and (c) later project managed the implementation of a Financial Management software suite for the client’s Head of Record to Report.

UCL Faculty of Laws - Research Assistant
Sir Robin Jacob, a Court of Appeal.
As a full-time job after graduating, I worked as Research Assistant for Sir Robin Jacob, a Court of Appeal

was for the duration of a year and my responsibilities included researching and contributing towards the publication of a book, organising an international conference in Washington DC, and writing a headnote for the R.P.C. Law Reports. Working for IBIL, I found brand growth and protection extremely interesting
and consequently wrote an article for the European Intellectual Property Review on a trade mark
infringement case involving Thomas Pink and Victoria's Secret.
