I'm offering

Arik Waiss has been active in the coffee business for more than 30 years. During this time Arik succeeded in building strong relationships with coffee roasters and equipment suppliers, developed a deep understanding of the different market segments and created new coffee business concepts. Arik was one of the people at the forefront of the exciting coffee shop market development in the UK. He opened his first coffee shop in Israel in the early ‘90s and led coffee shop chains and coffee wholesale companies in Israel for more than 17 years.

Arik relocated with his family to London and launched Doppio Coffee in April 2010, a unique business model which combined coffee shop, coffee wholesaler, and coffee retailer concepts.

In December 2019, Arik sold a large stake in Doppio Coffee and retired as CEO. Utilising his accumulated experience in the UK, Europen, and Middle Eastern coffee markets, Arik now has formed Urban Concepts as a marketing consultancy focused on developing new concepts, harnessing modern technologies, and advising on routes to market in the exciting fifth wave of the UK coffee market.
