Tony is executive director of Picon-Deed Property Consultants in Myanmar. The company focuses on market studies, development advisory and commercial leasing services. He was responsible for setting up Colliers International in Myanmar in 2013 and was in charge of strategic overview of operations in the country including tenant and landlord representation, investment consultancy, research and development advisory until leaving in 2018. Tony was responsible for the first ever comprehensive Yangon Property Report which was released in mid-2011 just as the country embarked on its its first political and economic reforms.
Tony was the inaugural Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar which has over 240 corporate members. Prior to Myanmar, Tony was responsible for Thailand research operations at Colliers, producing a wide range of reports covering Bangkok and resort markets as well as the first ever Vientiane Property Report for Laos in 2012. He also managed research for Savills in Vietnam covering Ho Chi Minh City. Tony also runs a separate business providing consultancy for Laos, Bangladesh and Cambodia.
In previous lives, Tony ran his own publishing businesses in Hong Kong spanning the handover in 1997, worked briefly for the Libyan Football Federation in Tripoli as a consultant; was corporate trainer for Airbus Industrie and Siemens in Germany; Lecturer of International Tourism Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, Germany and Head of EFL language programs for Sylvan Learning Centre in Hong Kong.
He holds a B.A. (Hons) Politics at University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK and RSA TEFL Grade B.
