The temping agency I was working for introduced me to this company and I
began working here on a temporary basis as a laboratory technician. The work
involved making media for the testing processes. I quickly moved on from this
basic level role to testing food samples.
I then was asked to cover a holiday for one of the office staff and while I was
doing this I noticed many mistakes within the stock control system and data
collection. After noticing this I made the decision to improve this for them. They
then asked to take me on permanently so I would have the time to finish this before my travels.
I worked with a university student to incorporate a new system that showed
full information of all products that were held on-site, including a logging out
system and a new quicker and easier way to perform stock controls.
