I was responsible for 15 homes out of the 25 care homes month end accounts packs. For this I had to prepare month end journals and cash book postings for them all. On a typical month, I would prepare PAYE and AEO payments and after the month end closure, carry out the task of reconciliations for all nominal ledgers. Another key area of my role is variance analysis between the Financial Statements across the periods. During the month I will receive Petty Cash floats from each of my homes, which I will need to reconcile back to the trial balance before issuing any new funds. A daily task of mine is to ensure the cash flow statement has been updated with the latest banking transactions and has been correctly forecasted.
