Charity Fundraiser
Oxfam, The British Heart Foundation, The British Red Cross.
via telecom for a foundation company based in Old Street who represented a number of charities including but not limited to: Oxfam, The British Heart Foundation, The British Red Cross etc. As an employee it was my job to contact members of said charities who were already donating and make them aware of other factors that affect charities of a similar nature to increase donation amounts and interest of raising awareness to such causes. This is a role that I hold a personal attachment to as I would consider myself to be a kind hearted person and would do my utmost best to help those in need. My employment ended 08/2009 as I went on to further my studies as of 09/2009. However, this was short-lived as I lost my father unexpectedly the same month, so this venture was put on hold until I was Cognitively present & available to pursue higher learning years later.
One of my more recent employment has been my role as General Office Manager at Metro Photography, who were a fashion photography studio based in Soho. This is a role I carried out for the 3 years. I was employed with the company as of 08/2011 initially as a telemarketer and as the company grew in size it became apparent that I took a keen interest in being a part of the growth of the business. I was recruited as the only administrator for a team of 8 telemarketers, 10-12 freelance photography and make up staff, 2 IT staff and PA to the Managing Director and his partner the company owner, as of 10/2011. I was in employment with the company on a full time basis working the odd overtime hours until I was provided an Admin Assistant as of 11/2013 as the company continued to grow in size. As of 10/2014 it was decided on amicable terms with myself and said Employers that there was no further opportunities for career growth or progression within the business, meaning next to no new challenges to throw myself into which is when we parted ways on a professional level. I performed exceptionally well in this role and it was with this company that I gained the skill sets and attributes required to thrive within an office environment. I took genuine pride and interest in my role and hope to find this kind of interest yet again in my future career paths. My daily tasks carried out can be found below for clarity on what the role involved.
The details are as follows: answering calls, managing the studio diary (booking & cancelling appointments), sending all customer confirmation and cancellation emails, confirming customer online deposits, refunding all deposits owed via PDQ or cheque, updating weekly figures both manually and electronically, petty cash management, paying all bills and invoices, handling input of telephone systems, dealing with customer complaints via email, telephone, or the rare face to face discrepancies also, liaising with customers to ensure satisfaction, sorting and filing all paperwork, bad dept management (following up with clients who owe outstanding balance in breach of contract), photocopying & scanning of documents required, preparing new starter packs, sorting payroll with company accountant on a fortnightly basis, ordering of stationary, photography and sanitation goods, handling staff complaints and disciplinary proceedings, updating company expenses, updating personal expenses for company owner & managing director, ordering & dispatching images and portfolio holders, following up on dispatch details with outsourced printing providers for images, carrying out personal tasks for both MD and company owner (booking flights, reservations, rentals, preparing itineraries etc.) managing and delegating tasks to all members of staff as and when required, ensuring smooth running of both the office and studio on a daily basis. I also carried out general admin duties and I am very familiar with using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint as a result.
One of my more recent employment was with GoGroopie Ltd. Where I worked for 2.5 years from 05/2015- 10/2017. During my time with the company I was able to fulfil several job roles due to my diverse experience and keen quick learning abilities. I worked as a Customer Support Advisor in my first full year with the company after which time due to company expansion the company director opted to relocate the Customer Support service to the Wales office team. I was then a member of the Quality Assurance team who ensured all goods listed on the company website had legal specifications to be listed as advertised. As a part of the department we ensured branding was sufficiently checked through the required legal avenues, we carried out product testing on electronics and also carried out relevant checks on non electronics for safety. During my final year with company I worked as a Merchant Support Advisor which saw me put my Customer Service skill to great use with the merchants linked to the company. As a MS team member I was required to uploaded deals, assist the Sales team as required as well as the Content team and Quality Assurance where applicable. I learned a great deal with the company and opted to move on as there was no further possible growth for me within the business.
I enjoyed my role as a Welcome Caller for Urbanleaf who are a Charity Agency based in Central London. My role involved calling donators to confirm the details of their donation and thank them for their support as well as inform them on ways that their donation will be changing lives via the Charities supported: Oxfam, Barbados, Action Aid and War Child. I worked flexible hours with the company any depending on my availability. I worked at the company from 09/2017- 03/2018.
I am also a certified Spiritual Life Coach. I started my own Spiritual Practice in 2018 which involves the arts of Self Counselling, Holistic healing, Mindfulness and Emotional Wellness practices.

I am dedicated, determined and will always get the job done to the very best of my capabilities. I am an ambitious, go getting person who will thrive in any situation when given the opportunity as I have the will to persevere (against all odds in some cases). I assure you that what I lack in knowledge of your particular business sector I make up for with my keen ability to absorb information and use the tools provided to the very best of my abilities. My sole goal in life is to be successful in any and all ventures embarked on both professionally and personally. As someone who comes from humble beginnings I aim to work my way up the professional hierarchy. I am confident, reliable and very rarely feel out of my depth as I am constantly seeking new challenges to pursue to further build on my skills. I would very much relish the opportunity to become a part of your already successful team, and would urge that you give my application some careful consideration as I feel that I would be rightfully suited to this particular role, not only based on my suitability for the required criteria, but also based on the fact that I stand strongly as an individual and would be an asset to the forward movement of your company being that I am consistent and possess attributes that allows for success.
