Hi,
I have been working for Ferro Dokum as Chief Design Engineer since2012 (I was Design Engineer until 2017, and then I was promoted to Chief Design Engineer). Ferro Dokum is a sand casting company for automotive industry and most of FD’s customers are multinational customers like Mercedes, Ford otosan and etc. I manage design team which has 4 people ( 2 engineers, 1 technician, 1 SAP operator).
If I summarize process flow in Engineering Department, marketing department releases internal letter to start new project. Engineering team studies on customer data (3D and 2D) for sand casting technology. After being align about last updated data, the team releases industrial time plan and estimates all required parameters and manage internal pattern shop or outsource companies for manufacturing core tools. After finishing core tools, the team releases 2D and 3D data with all related departments. The team controls reports of customer samples and completes all modification works if it is needed. My motivation core tools are mobility between engineering discipline, performance management and investment on employee.
As a design engineer I feel that I should fill the gaps about analyzing ( ansys) and programming (Python). Because of that I am in progress on these tools.
And finally, Aim of my career is that working on more technological side of industries like aviation, automotive ( body in white, moulding technologies), semiconductors.

Details of responsibilities;
-3D & 2D design works ( creating , modification, controlling, negotiation with customers)
-Simulation and sprue calculations
-To Release industrial time plan and documents
-Technical visiting to the customers
