I am an enthusiastic and highly experienced events manager with a wide range of skills over the years I've been working in the industry. I have been running a live music venue within the Ritzy Cinema (Brixton) for over 11 years (as events/venue manager and sole programmer) as well as event managing all corporate hires, film premieres, special events and weddings within the cinema itself. I have also done a lot of freelance events and artist liaison work as well as social media marketing and (more recently) online events.
I have always written and/or edited all copy for all marketing materials, social media and our website, as well as any press releases. This is something I really enjoy and am good at, so would love to do more of this freelance as well.

Responsibilities include managing my team, creating/booking all events (38+ per month), booking bands, artist and client liaison, budgeting, invoicing, marketing management, writing various copy/listings and press releases,
arranging timings and tech for all events. Selling, quoting and managing all private hires, including weddings and
receptions; coordinating and delivering appropriate F&B packages. Generating and realising new and exciting
event ideas to increase revenue and improve branding. I have also built an incredibly strong relationship with the Brixton community to ensure the venue is seen as a safe, inclusive and accessible venue for the locality.

celebrity guests are planned and cared for, health and safety matters are adhered to, arranging meetings with
relevant parties (ie. local council, police etc) and arranging preparation of tech set-ups, security and staffing. I also create DCP content and can work in projection to test and screen films for smaller hires and events.
