Unifrog is an international EdTech platform used by more than 2,000 schools and colleges worldwide. I began working for Unifrog as a freelance writer and then progressed to the full-time position of Content Manager and Writer.
• Research and write articles read by 150,000+ young people each week, covering topics such as careers guidance, wellbeing, personal development and citizenship. Often collaborate with subject experts, such as Siemens and Papyrus, to create reliable content that answers niche questions.
• Curate and write two weekly newsletters that go out to education professionals around the world. Increased our subscriber number from 594 to 12,641 in just under two years.
• Created Unifrog's first House Style - a document that defines our tone of voice and use of language.
• Manage a team of 3 writers. Assign projects and deadlines, track progress and host regular meetings. Edit their work in accordance with our House Style, correct spelling, grammar and punctuation errors, and provide constructive feedback.
• Create social media posts and infographics for Unifrog's Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts, which have a collective following of 5,500 people.
• Write long-form editorials for education sector heavyweights, such as ASCL, to showcase Unifrog as a thought leader.
• Provide in-house editing services to colleagues, helping them to write engaging emails to Unifrog partners and use our tone of voice.
• Use a content management system to upload and edit written content, images, videos and keywords.
• Organise content collaborations with other specialists in the education sector, such as Causeway, The Medic Portal and The Lawyer Portal.
