I'm offering
I am an experienced facilitator and team coach and a true advocate of agile. What I enjoy most is the ability to achieve good delivery constantly and consistently. Learning is key to a good experience, and a great team is always able to learn, innovate and deliver. I'm often known as The Glue, for being able to connect teams and stakeholders in an honest and collaborative way of working. This, I find, ensures a more positive team spirit and a better product with fewer hurdles or disappointments.

SENIOR CONSULTANT
EMERGN.
(projects ceased due to Covid)
Engaged to consult on and support Emergn's BP account as team leader across 4 MVPs within their retail payment strategy initiatives. BP were looking to offer comparable digital payment solutions for their fleet business and as such we took four ideas from proof of concept to MVP in a vastly reduced time frame by BP standards, partnered with Cap Gemini, Deutsche Leasing and Mercedes we managed to bring to fruition viable products that greatly enhanced the customer centric experience that BP strive to achieve. Though the projects were cut short, we did succeed in getting all 4 MVPs ready for successful beta testing.
I have also been engaged on the SHL account. As part of the Emergn team, my main remit was to coach and support the inhouse product owners and bridge the skills gap to ensure effective delivery alongside the Emergn engineering teams. I coached in the ways of working including management of backlogs, understanding team velocity, product value and coached in the use of Jira coupled with confluence as part of the new ways of working delivery. Whilst a challenging client engagement, by pulling on my scrum master knowledge and instilling an Agile style of thinking and approach, we as a team achieved the objective and delivered the required 4 initiatives. Using standard ceremonies, artefacts and ways of working, the engagement moved from almost total waterfall to an effective Agile delivery.

F/L SCRUM MASTER & TEAM LEAD
GLOBAL ILABS.
Global ilabs is a subsidiary of We Are Xpert. I led the day to day management of our tech product, a Cloud based SaaS solution for high volume contingency labour which delivers across IOS, Android and Web. The app and desktop managed candidate availability and transactional requirements supporting pay and bill, time capture and the processing of up to 28,000 transactions per month for industries such as health care, teaching, construction and hospitality.
As product owner and team lead, I was the client partner on all programmes of work, guiding them through from brief to delivery. Facilitating detailed requirements interrogation including UX and UI and managing expectations by making daily decisions using agile methods and ceremonies to best suit the necessary level of responsive delivery. I simultaneously lead the core product through a code rewrite and oversaw the transition between existing and new development teams, whilst maintaining all Live clients.
I co-ran workshops covering innovation and development of new product ideas as well as developing internal products to aid best practice, one being an internal ticketing system akin to Jira, tailormade for our biggest client so we could work more specifically to their needs. As a small team, I reported directly to the founders and chairman on a weekly basis, relaying all progress and blockers, budget or time concerns, and any opportunities for further development. As Scrum Master I facilitated the internal and external development team's daily delivery excellence, being always ready to fail, learn and improve. By addressing blockers as quickly as possible progress was iterated through as quickly as possible, when working with live clients in the NHS this was crucial.

qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor
BBC, Adidas and the NHS.
PRIOR EMPLOYMENY HISTORY 1999 - 2015
My prior roles have involved working with leading Digital, Brand and Marketing agencies, working with senior leaders, managing operations, office and studio management and resourcing. I particularly enjoyed my time with a super yacht and private jet designer learning a totally new industry with technical and budgetary thresholds I'd not experienced before. Having also worked with brands such as The Virgin Group, the BBC, Adidas and the NHS, I have valuable experience of managing key stakeholder relationships. As a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor, I have the added benefit of being able to address team dynamics and problem solving in a calm and open manner which complements my abilities as an effective Scrum Master, I believe the health of the team directly correlates to the health of the product, whatever it may be.
