Apparel Dynamics.
A garment design and development role to one of the largest manufacturers of bespoke Teamwear in China, supplying
major sports brands including Under Armour, Mizuno, Umbro, Canterbury, Gilbert, Playerlayer, Dynasty Sport.
● Working in the China based factory in different departments: Test lab, Merchandising, Pattern Cutting, Graphics, Sublimation,
Laser cutting, Bonding, Embroidery, Gel print, QC and shipping.
● Design, developing and personalising sports apparel kits for Professional Clubs, University's and Schools.
● Constructing CADS/technical drawings and building tech packs ready for order placement.
● Monitoring lab dips, test reports and identifying issues and challenges in the construction of garments.
● Using appropriate materials and techniques for both outdoor and indoor sports and managing fabric compositions.
● Creating graphic designs and prints for sublimated garments. Approving print files and strike offs.
● Designing ranges and collections for specific clients from sampling, prototypes, size samples and bulk.
● Reviewing the fit, construction and technical finishes of various garments.
● Ensuring price strategies are considered when designing for various markets.

● A Design/Garment Tech consultant role to Irelands Premier supplier of sports, outdoor and fashion retail brands 'JACC Sport'.
● Designing ranges for 5 League of Ireland Clubs that fall under the Umbro Licensee.
● Setting up the development and tech packs to facilitate production of samples for all 5 Clubs.
● Liaising daily with the Brand manager of the Umbro Licensee and supplier Apparel Dynamics to ensure any technical issues and artwork approvals are approved with clear direction and timely decisions to ensure shipment dates are achieved.
● Exploring applications such as Gel print, Embossing and Embroidery to enhance the product but factoring in costs and development
lead times.
Customer Design duties:
XBlades Australia/UK.
● Designing and creating a Teamwear tool kit to include individual sports, on-field and off-field apparel.
● Constructing all areas of the tool kit to show appropriate production notes, fabric codes, colours and technical assets
● Overseeing the tool kit through to sampling stages for review and fit.
● Designing and manufacturing at Lionstar the 2017/18 ranges for three AFL clubs XBlades tender for.
