I’m based in the UK with a background and qualifications that span creative arts and science including an undergraduate degree in sculpture and a PhD in computer science and artificial intelligence. My experience spans the visual arts, literature, science, engineering and computing.
I have extensive experience working with embedded electronics; in particular Arduino compatible systems, ESP wifi modules, PSOC touch sensor devices, Microchip SAM and PIC devices, and I have worked on commercial projects covering the design of electronics, printed circuit boards and embedded firmware in C and C++ and application software in Java.
I have experience in mechanical CAD with Solidworks including design for injection mould production and electromechanical systems, and I have some experience specifying and sourcing parts from manufacturers in China.
My technical experience and skills in mechanical design, 3D CAD, PCB design and embedded electronics and software allow me to work on every design aspect of a product, and my background in the creative arts, including the written word, allows me to understand the product and design goals from a creative and conceptual perspective as well as a purely technical one.
