I'm offering
Adding value and ensuring programmes remain aligned to business strategy. I bring more than 12 years of management experience within the construction industry with the last 4 years working within programme design and delivery. I am a qualified MSP Practitioner and have a PMQ from the Association of Project Managers. I have worked with and for organisations new to the programme approach and have extensive experience in setting up integrated communications, processes and governance structures to lead and support successful programme delivery.
At a time when greater business and workforce flexibility is a key advantage, the use of a finite programme approach can be a real advantage in delivering organisational strategy. Increased early visibility of benefits and risks, the opportunity to outsource on a larger scale and greater coordination and communication of change are all positives provided when using Programme Management.

Programme Manager
National Trust, Visitor Infrastructure Programme.
Designing, establishing and managing the first construction programme in the National Trust's south east region. The
role was to oversee the investment of at least £45m in new visitor infrastructure at 15 properties across the region over
3 years. Challenges of the role included not only the delivery of the project benefits on time and budget but the
introduction of the idea of programme management, change management, programme benefits and making use of the opportunities afforded by the programme approach. This role included the direct line management of 5 programme
team members and the indirect line management of programme consultant partners appointed to deliver programme and project functions. Within the first 6 months in post I successfully secured the previously unallocated funding
necessary to take all projects through feasibility, established the Programme board and defined the roles within it,
procured a project management consultant and cost management consultant partners to provide project and programme level delivery resources whilst establishing clearly defined roles for existing internal partners working on
projects within the programme. As part of this role I was also involved in the national, senior management group
providing advice on the strategy and recruitment required to establish the use of programme and change management within the National Trust more widely.

job
Project Manager
The National Trust, REI Programme.
Responsible for the delivery of projects in L&SE to meet the National Trust’s target of producing 50% of its energy through renewables by 2020. Working as an internal PM consultant, to individual National Trust property clients on projects involving the replacement of fossil fuel heating with renewable alternatives. Involved from feasibility through to handover. The role also involves identifying and securing a robust pipeline of projects to meet the NT and REI Programme targets within the LSE region. Notable projects:
1. Mottisfont Abbey
Construction of a new biomass energy centre within an existing historical farm building and the installation of heating distribution pipework to the Mansion and Stables across approximately 250m of the historic landscape. I took this project on post tendering, during the discharge of planning conditions and at a time of significant change at the property. The project was delivered on time and on budget.
Project value approximately £400k.
2. Polesden Lacey
Construction of a completely new biomass energy centre and connection to seven different buildings across the very busy Polesden Lacey Estate. The project was one of REI flag ship projects with approximately 800,000Kwh of fossil use removed as a result of the works. The project was delivered on time and under budget.
Project value approximately £500k.
3. Basildon Park
The first large scale ground source heat pump within the National Trust in LSE. This was an ambitious project both in terms of design and construction management. The project experienced some significant, high level challenges during construction but with a strong focus on clear and calm communication and effective people management the project was delivered within 1% of the original budget and Gate 3 was signed only two weeks after the original forecast date.
Project value approximately £400k.
