• Working collaboratively with key project stakeholders including clients, operations and project teams to gain thorough understanding of project specifications and requirements to ensure all elements incorporated and anticipated within cost plans.
• Utilising historical tender and project data to compare elemental costs and establish base and cost per m2 and cost benchmarking parameters for accurate project cost planning.
• Drawing on benchmarking data to anticipate all potential costs including those not detailed in initial project specifications and utilising Bluebeam software for all measurement calculations.
• Preparing detailed and competitive costings based on measurement, analysed cost data, anticipated costs and potential contingency to provide realistic and transparent client costings and minimise cost variances between early stage and stage 4.
• Working collaboratively with supply chain contacts to secure cost effective pricing structures.
• Ongoing monitoring of live project costs; analysing and reporting on actual versus budgeted and reporting on potential variances.
• Utilising variance information and incorporating into benchmark cost data to ensure accurate future cost planning.
• Undertaking all functions as an Estimator including the preparation of single stage tenders.
