• Implemented relevant and highly targeted data driven email programmes for Hawes and Curtis, Myprotein, Trekwear, Jessops, Harrod Horticultural and JD Sports.
My role, as a client leader was wide ranging and varied and included operating at all levels, including Board Level, identifying the business drivers for each client and recommending strategies which would drive sales and profit growth, acting as a sounding board for owners and directors of my client portfolio, understanding the objectives of each client then defined the strategy and tactics to meet these objectives, increasing sales and profits for clients (acquisition and retention) through integrated CRM campaigns (direct mail and email) using best-practice techniques, delivering actionable insight through the review of campaign and ad-hoc activity, adding value to my clients businesses by ensuring recommendations could be executed, providing clear and concise recommendations at client meetings when reviewing business and campaign performance. This was across all marketing disciplines (acquisition and retention), sales channels (retail, on-line and mail order) and contact methods (email, mail, telephone). I ensured each business had targets for each of its Key Performance Indicators. I delivered robust tools for sales forecasting and subsequently tracking success and understood the lifetime value of customers for the different clients, ensuring they made the right investment decisions to grow their businesses (based upon evidence).
• Increased online share of sales by 36% year on year.
Oversaw P&L for the brand, ensuring all areas were achieving sales targets within agreed costs. Ensured all possible revenue streams were explored and understood costs of activity, managing a marketing budget of £8m per annum (acquisition and retention, online and offline).
• Rolled out e-mail campaigns across the products.
• Developed and executed direct mail (acquisition, cross sell and up sell) and e-mail campaigns to achieve the new customer targets, on time and to budget (£4m).
