I am seeking to explore the depths of music diversity and collaboration in songwriting. For myself, songwriting is an intricate process that can bring immense joy to so many individuals who may feel lost, emotional or those who simply want to tell a story. In a nutshell, my experience includes songwriting with Ella Henderson at RAK studios in London, supporting Bev Bevan (ELO) at Lichfield Garrick, and studying under some incredible tutors such as Jono McNeil (The Voice) and Tim Hawes (Spice Girls, S Club 7) to name just a few. My qualifications include Triple Distinction* in Music Performance & Songwriting Level 3 Extended Diploma (RSL), First Class Honours (1st) BA (Hons) Music Industry Practice (ACM, Middlesex) (to be confirmed August 2020), amoungst the first hand knowledge of collaboration with artists and producers across the UK. As a self-taught vocalist, songwriter, producer and keyboardist, I know what it takes to tell a story from imagination and imagery alone. Songwriting shouldn't just be for the few, it should be a tool utilised by anyone who feels like writing a melody or strumming the guitar can be their outlet. In September 2019, I released my debut single under my stage name Challis, titled Fast Forward. The response I recieved was incredible, gaining over 10,000 streams over all platforms collectively, alongside being chosen as track of the day for BBC Surrey and BBC Sussex. Despite the COVID-19 crisis, I have been working hard recording material while keeping proactive in arranging further projects, of which include a remix of Fast Forward being released in August 2020.
