GIS Consultant
Xodus Group.
Western Isles and Bittern Vessel Traffic Survey (VTS) support for Dana Petroleum
• Conducted two Vessel Traffic Surveys using Automatic Identification system (AIS) data to characterize routine
vessel traffic patterns and shipping density in the vicinity of two hydrocarbon field development projects for the purpose of the client's 'Consent to Locate' applications in support of drilling operations at the Western Isles FPSO and Bittern oil field in UK continental shelf blocks 210/24a and 29/1b respectively in the North Sea.
GIS web map support for confidential project
• Maintaining the client's GIS web map using ArcGIS online
GIS Support for Sean Field Decommissioning Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
• GIS support for Sean Romeo and Papa pipeline (PL310, PL311) decommissioning project that involved
producing nine GIS figures including - Marine Conservation, Terrestrial Conservation, Sediment Types,
Seabed Features, Other Users, Fisheries (mobile gear effort/time), Trawling Activity and Vessel AIS. Also
performed proximity analysis to derive distances to nearest protected sites (SPAs, SACs and MPAs).
GIS Support - North Cormorant and Tern Platform Decommissioning Programme EIA for TAQA
Provided GIS support for these decommissioning programmes.
• Produced GIS figures/charts to support the environmental impact assessment of the project Figures produced
include - Average intensity (hours) of fishing by method, Average landings (weights and values) by species
group, Average fishing effort by >10 m vessels, by gear category.

GIS Specialist
Arup.
Within the Digital Insight West Team I worked on high impact energy infrastructure projects, road modification
schemes, environmental statements and habitat mapping projects for clients like Highways England, Greenlink
Interconnector Ltd., etc. Projects worked on include:
Greenlink Interconnector, Pembrokeshire, Wales
Provided GIS support on a Planning, Design and Access Statement (PDAS) to support outline and full planning
applications for proposed elements of the Greenlink Interconnector Project - a £350 million project to construct a 500MW
subsea interconnector between Ireland and Great Britain. This includes:
• GIS project setup, map document templates and project file geodatabase (common data environment setup) and data management),
• Redline boundary determination and conversion from CAD to GIS and produced a set of Air Quality Monitoring
Areas Maps for the study area including.
A417 Missing Link - Highways England
Worked on this £250 to £500 million-planned scheme in the South West region to improve the connection between two
dual carriageway sections of the A417 at Brockworth and Cowley. I supported Arup's work on this project by creating
several GIS figures for A417 Traffic Model as input to the Combined Modelling and Appraisal (ComMA) report.
A40PRC Improvements (Penblewin to Redstone Cross)
Provided GIS support on this £20 million planned scheme in Pembrokeshire, South Wales to make improvements between
Penblewin roundabout and Redstone Cross on the A40.
• Developed FME workbenches to load data to feature datasets on the A40 shared SDE
• Used FME to transfer data between working and shared SDE databases
• Used ArcMap to produce figures for various chapters of the Environmental Statement report for this project
A30 Keyn Glas (Green Ribs) Designated Funds - Carnhot Valley GIS Deskstudy
Created a series of GIS figures as part of this desk study for one of the A30 Keyn Glas environmental enhancement
schemes, to create a new green continuous landscape corridor across central Cornwall's countryside by connecting core
habitat areas within 3km of the A30.
