job
Graduate Sports Coach
Kings College School Wimbledon.
Developing new and creative coaching sessions for myself and other members of staff to use
has allowed me to become more confident in myself to voice innovative ideas that I may have and to deliver them affectively and passionately.
• Working in a fast paced environment has allowed me to develop the skill of using my initiative
wisely whilst thinking on my feet to ensure that tasks get completed to the highest standard.
It has also meant that I am sometimes responsible for leading groups that I am not usually with which has taught me to be more courageous when interacting with unfamiliar faces.
• Being a member of a large department has given me the opportunity to stretch and challenge
myself in subject areas that I have less experience in. I have been observing the different heads of sports to increase my knowledge and skillset in sports such as rugby, football and basketball
where I am now able to comfortably lead sessions on my own due to my desire to learn.

• Assisting in groups PE and swimming lessons from ages 4 - 14 both practical and theory to help encourage and engage pupils in activities that they may never have attempted before.
• Taking on responsibility on school hockey tours and school trips both abroad and within the UK.
• Writing match reports and annual overviews for the schools termly magazine for parent

me to encourage and help build the confidence of individuals in order for them to continue
developing as they progress through the school.
• Writing school reports for pupils has taught me to give constructive feedback to help pupils
improve their skill level as well as giving them advice on how to reach the next level of the sports performance pathway

Coach
2016 - 2017
job
Hostess
Atik Oxford.
• During this role I learnt to maximise sales, for example up selling extra bottles of alcohol than originally ordered to the tables and therefore increasing the clubs profits for the evening. This has allowed me to become more confident in selling products without being too pushy and driving customers away.
• Improving my customer service is another skill that I adopted during my time at Atik. I was always on hand for the customers I was responsible for and willing to go above and beyond to ensure that they enjoyed their night. This in turn has made it easier for me to approach customers and build a good rapport, whilst being fervent about my role as a hostess.
• A further skill I developed was enhancing my patients with difficult customers. Due to the job being in a club I was faced with problematic drunken customers which I managed to face extremely well and not get frustrated with. This meant that I was able to work on my patients with challenging customers until they were satisfied and there were no complaints.

2014 - 2015
job
Platinum Young Ambassador
Sports Wales.
This role left me with the responsibilities to ensure that there are new and innovative ideas
that can allow for sports to develop affectively in primary schools and secondary schools across Wales. It has made me become a more creative person and developed my skills to listen
to other people's suggestions and ideas.
• Presenting to large groups of up to 100 people at the Welsh Young Ambassadors conference
along with the closing speech was also a role I was involved in. I am now more confident and I am able to keep the interest of large groups of people for long periods of time and ensure
they are fully involved throughout.
• During my time as an Ambassador it was identified that I have good communication skills and
am an approachable individual as I was on the front door of the meet and greet to the celebrities attending the BBC Welsh Sports Personality of the year 2014.
Active Leader
• During my free periods in school and after school I would assist the PE staff with PE lessons
and extra-curricular activities to help further my knowledge in all aspects of sports and gain a
better understanding of what was required to become a successful teacher.
• Being involved in these environments has resulted in me learning to adapt a variety of situations to suit the needs of disabled children for them to be involved in the sessions or
lessons. This did not go unnoticed by members of Disability Sport Wales and they were very
impressed with the progress I had made as a coach.
• I was given a firm role within school of coaching the younger pupils in both netball and hockey
during the school lunch breaks and county tournaments.
