job
practitioner and manager
Nottingham Trent University.
end of May 2004 and become a member of IOSH I believe it has intensified and strengthened the health and safety knowledge that I have already acquired over the years as a practitioner and manager. In January 2007 I became CMIOSH approved.
It was the same year 2007 I became a member of APS the association of project safety, after completing the satisfactory exams, enabling me to complete CDM works as a CDM Co-Ordinator working with clients, such as Bovis Homes, Bellway Homes, Morris, and Barratt Homes, producing surveys, and written documentation to their satisfaction for pre-construction information, and in turn, completing construction phase plans through the information collated, enabling them to commence construction works on the sites surveyed.

Before joining the NHBC I was self-employed for 6 years, freelance as a Site Manager / Project Manager which involved all aspects of construction site management such as having overall responsibility for the site, managing plant, equipment and labour to ensure a safe and efficient site. I had overall responsibility for selecting and controlling contractors, implementing the necessary health & safety, planning site activities, setting targets and accurately forecasting completion dates. Other requirements included -
