I am a primarily mobile-focused software developer with experience in a wide range of technology areas. I thrive on innovation, learning new things, building new systems and moving things forward. I am looking for the kind of position that allows me to do this.
I have worked as a mostly-mobile developer for the past 9 years, initially with iOS, but more recently Android (Java, then some Kotlin) and Native cross platform tools (React Native/Typescript, Flutter).
I have acquired a broad knowledge of the Android SDKs and mobile ecosystems, including Android Studio, Retrofit, Dagger, RxJava, SQLLite, Realm, GSON, Firebase, Room, and some of the new Android Architecture Components. I work as default with source control and release (git, bitbucket, gitflow-like workflows, automatic CI and distribution via CircleCI, Hockey App, Google Play Store, MS App Center/codepush). I use appropriate Unit and integration testing (JUnit, Android Espresso) and performance measurement (code profiling and memory usage).

Development and enhancement of applications and features of Automated Insurance Claims Management System.
I took over responsibility for, updated and brought to release a React Native cross platform live video application for customer to support agent contact as part of an insurance claims management workflow. The app encapsulates native Android and iOS components. I refactored the app to use finite-state-machine based state management, extended the TypeScript type annotation and integrated the app with a back end system which auto-detects the workflow based on previous browser interaction.
Designed and implemented a replacement audio component for voice transmission of the live conversation component of our claims software. Interfaced to low level iOS audio libraries in Objective C and C++. Building and adapting cross platform (iOS, and Android C++/NDK) library.
Implemented simple AWS Lambda/API Gateway back end for the live streaming app.

This system proved reliable and efficient.
