Objective: To define and implement a data science method able to predict the total number of bikes rented in each bike station with the temporal granularity of one hour time slot, so to help TfL to balance bike sharing supply with bike sharing demand
Data Source: We have 3 datasets named “bike_journeys”, “bike_stations”,”London_census” given.
Approach: Datasets are first cleaned and joined based on the similar variables. Based on the dependent and independent variables linear regression and random forest algorithm applied to know the hourly prediction.
2.Prediction of London Crime rates for a borough:
Objective: To define and implement a data science method able to First, to help understand the reasons behind the major crimes. Second, to predict where crimes may occur and therefore to prevent further occurrences.
Data Source: We have 2 datasets named “crime_data”, “London_census” given.
Approach: Datasets are first cleaned and joined based on the similar variables. Based on the dependent and independent variables linear regression and random forest algorithm applied to know the hourly prediction
3.Detecting the Edge of an image as part of Image processing using MATLAB
Objective: To define and implement an own method to detect the edge of an image and compare with the existing methods and try to modify the existing method by masking.
Data Source: Any Image can be taken
Approach: Create a GUI to select the image and based on input button load the existing methods edge detected image and by convolution and masking of the image in all the possible orientations, a new function to be created for proper edge detection of an image
4.Book Recommendation System:
Objective: The Objective of this project is Identify Books of similar types for a given input (Book) based on the ratings given by the users (Popular).
Data Source : http://www2.informatik.uni-freiburg.de/~cziegler/BX/
Approach: Item – Item Similarity (Cosine) Based Recommender System, using KNN Algorithm as a Base line Model.
Example: If a user queries to find similar books to the Murder of Roger Ackroyd, similar books can be as follows.
ABC Murders, Death in the Nile, Murder on the Orient Express. Etc as all these books belong to same type i.e. murder mysteries.
5.Predicting an image as a runout or not run out in game of cricket
Objective: The Objective of this project is to classify an image (Cricket) as Out or Not Out using Deep learning Algorithms.
Data Source:
I took the data from snipping the videos from YouTube.
Approach:
To collect number of images related to runout and not runout in cricket, and then train these images on a deep learning algorithm so that it should be able to classify a new image respective to its class (Run Out or Not Run Out).
6.Query in MongoDB:
- Importing a json file into the DB.
- Query to show all the elements, minimum and maximum of some columns
- Visualising the frequency distribution of average values of some columns
- Selecting some of the columns on basis of average
