I am an IT Professional with over 15 years of experience stretching across support, development, infrastructure and system architecture design.

I have worked closely with business leaders, previously working in a business improvement role reporting to the Commercial Director of a construction company with a turnover of £700m and now working with small businesses, consulting and helping them overcome IT challenges.

My technical experience includes supporting, managing and running business critical applications with a requirement for 24/7 availability. I am experienced in a technical lead role working closely with developers and end-users to design systems and their underlying architecture whilst ensuring systems are highly available and suitable for the user's needs. These systems often comprise of various moving parts, from database management, through to Mobile App development and deployments. As well as internal and external web-based applications and full business intelligence reporting solutions. All these can be highly integrated with other business applications throughout the company estate. I have managed this process end to end, often hands on in all aspects.

Support has been a key part of my career and I have maintained a focus on customer experience. I am solutions oriented, always looking to fix any problem I'm presented with.

As part of my career I have worked as a developer building data driven systems, primarily ASP.NET web applications with a MS SQL backend.

I have also worked on infrastructure projects ranging from building remote access systems (VPNs, Citrix setups) to managing network links.

In the last few years I've been working as an ad hoc IT manager for a number of small businesses, helping them with their IT strategy and implementing change.

I've developed systems for clients to improve process efficiencies with one example allowing a business to produce quotes in a few minutes which previously took them days.

My skills are wide ranging from basic IT troubleshooting and the ability to assist end- users struggling with their technology, through networking knowledge, active directory, exchange, group policy and scripting in various languages, to full scale software and web development, project management and strategic planning.
