I'm offering
Hello, I am an experienced grant application writer, CV/cover letter writer and career coach, and content/copy/blog writer.
I have over fifteen years’ experience in charities and international corporations, specialising in corporate social responsibility (CSR), communication, mentoring, community engagement, event management and latterly fundraising.
I am a successful professional grant application writer to Trusts and Foundations, statutory bodies, corporations and businesses for various charities and am a member of the UK's Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
I am also an experienced professional writer and career coach, and I offer my services as CV and cover letter writer (including review & update). I have enjoyed working in a job club, run by a housing association, where I coached unemployed people to give them the confidence and the skills to gain employment; I helped them write their CV and cover letters, search for suitable jobs and prepare them for interviews.
In industry, I worked with corporate HR on community engagement projects and mentored colleagues to help them define their career paths. I have participated in intern recruitment and assisted them in developing their skills and professional experience throughout their internship. I am attaching a couple of examples of infographic-style CV Profiles I can write; I can of course write or edit CVs as Microsoft Word documents in a more traditional format.
I gained a diploma in Freelance and Feature Writing at the London School of Journalism and have been trained by the Press Association in Advanced Internal Communication. I have worked as a freelance journalist writing travel, media and lifestyle articles for local magazines and have been published in Italy, to a readership of 1 million. I now write professional copy/content/blogs to your specification.

Fundraiser (Corporates and Trusts & Foundations)
Woman's Trust.
Developed strategy and collateral for corporate fundraising to encourage new donors and start
partnerships. Submitted applications to Trusts and Foundations for core, project and emergency Covid-19
funding. Key achievements included:
• Developed a corporate fundraising plan and introductory collateral for initial approach to corporates and local businesses.
• Established a collaboration with the Marble Arch BID (Business Improvement District) to raise
awareness of Woman's Trust's services and facilitate corporate fundraising.
• Raised awareness of Woman's Trust in the Paddington area within local businesses and shops.
For example, I supported a corporate fundraiser for Woman's Trust with a London-based
business, for International Women's Day.
• Successfully researched and prospected new donors, using online tools and local councils'
Newsletters, whose donation criteria aligned with Woman's Trust's aims and activities.
• Identified and approached new providers of emergency Covid19 grants.
• Launched the "alternative fundraising ideas" database, to replace traditional event fundraising
during the Covid19 emergency.
• Networked with the Tower Hamlets Council CEO to create awareness of Woman's Trust's need
for IT resources, in particular during the Covid19 emergency to support more homeworking.
• In my four months at Woman's Trust, I wrote nine complex, targeted and personalised
applications to Trusts and Foundations for project, core and emergency funding, potentially worth
£70,000. As grants requests have normally a turn-around time of 2-3 months, at the time I left
Woman's Trust, one application, and worth £20,000, had already progressed to the second stage.
My application to a Westminster-based trust, quickly awarded £500.
• Improved the staff morale by hosting social team calls during the Covid19 lockdown, during when
staff had to work remotely and suffered from lack of social interaction.

Fundraising and Engagement Lead
Charge R&R.
Developed and implemented a fundraising strategy to develop existing and encourage new donors;
increased available funds by researching and targeting charitable trusts and businesses whose donation
criteria aligned to the Re:Charge's aims and activities. Key achievements included:
• Raised £54,000, allowing Re:Charge R&R to continue operating for another year (when only 2 months' funding remained when I joined); of the £54k raised, £24k came from new donors.
• Targeted businesses and corporate organisations, presenting the charity's goals and financial
needs in order to start partnerships; these activities led to two successful offers of support in their
CSR plans for 2019 and beyond.
• Wrote targeted and personalised applications for a range of current and potential donors and created reports for existing donors to show the impact of their donations and to confirm that their
conditions of support were being satisfied.
• Organised events such as a quiz night, a Christmas Fair and a nutrition / wellbeing talk to promote
the charity, raise local awareness, raise funds and forge positive relationships with the community.
• Improved the engagement of the charity by writing and editing a regular Newsletter
• Created the Social Media strategy for the charity, including regularly posting on Facebook and
creating a LinkedIn page - with information on how to donate, current campaigns and news and events of the charity.
• Approached local councillors to make them aware of the charity's financial needs and invited them
to visit the charity's sessions - this led to a few councillors donating some of their charitable
allowance to Re:Charge R&R.
• Created collateral documents, case studies and promotional materials to support donor
engagement, and community outreach.
• Collated feedback from the first ever Service User survey, to create a benchmark for Re:Charge
R&R's impact.
