1997 - 2004
job
Team Leader
Boyce Hatton Solicitors Torquay.
Originally taken on as a stand alone residential conveyancer but promoted to team leader when the solicitor leading the team left in 2001. Responsible for a team of 5, overseeing workloads, targets, and assisting with problem files. The team met and exceeded all targets for the entire period that I was team leader, despite the targets increasing annually.
1995 - 1997
job
Training Officer and Assistant to Planning Law Partner
Anstey Sargent and Probert Solicitors Exeter.
No fee earning vacancies in my area of expertise when I moved to Devon so took a position with Ansteys in the hopes they may be able to offer something when the recession improved. Subsequently offered a permanent position in Torbay.
Prior - based in North West (Stockport and surrounding area) and employed as a Residential Conveyancer whilst also sitting my ILEX course - exams not finished due to matrimonial problems in the late 1980's but entire Land Law and Conveyancing course sat.
Personality: Hard working, conscientious, and able to deal with people from all walks of life with a calm, reassuring and professional manner. A keen sense of humour that clients seem to appreciate, together with a warm personality. When employed by Boyce Hatton I had a very strong loyal client base who frequently returned to me (in fact some came to me when I moved to Windeatts after reading in the local paper I was now there) and who also referred family and friends. Very computer literate and able to utilise several case management systems, a quick learner on computers and conversant with Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
Outside of the office I like to pursue d-i-y, gardening, walk my dogs, religious matters, and entering competitions.
