I'm offering
I have always had a keen interest in programming and making money.
I am a self taught iOS developer who has learned through hard work and determination with actual results in the App Store.
7 years ago when apps started to boom I took it upon myself to learn Corona SDK to get involved in releasing apps.
To get familiar with the release process I brought a pre made Flappy Bird game, re-skinned it and made some changes then re-released it as Flappy Hero Squad (now removed from the App Store).
After having no success with my initial release, I started work on a second custom built app called Name that Noise. It actually made a few sales and gave me a real taste for developing apps.
I then went on to approach the owner of the Check Your Change website (a UK coin collectors website) to see if I could use his images to create a coin collectors app. We ended up discussing terms and creating a joint venture. After 6 months I had released Check Your Change to the Android store.
At this time, the company I worked for got wind I was learning to develop apps and they actually created a new job position for me to create iOS business apps for them. I was working as an IT Support analyst at the time.
I had no experience developing for iOS so over time I read, watched and learned as much material as possible! I learned Objective C and released 1 app for the company and shortly after it was announced Apple was releasing the Swift language.
Being new to the game I thought it was a perfect opportunity to abandon Objective C and jump ship to learn the new Swift language.
I have since released about 10 enterprise apps for the company including a device registration app, stock taking app and audit app.
After learning Swift I also released Check Your Change for the iOS App Store complete with user subscriptions.
Check Your Change has since had many major updates and has amassed over 100 thousand downloads across the 2 platforms with a user retention rate of 60%.
I continue to work on Check Your Change and am in the process of learning / creating an Admin website for it to make it a lot more easier to manage coin updates.
I am highly adaptable... If I don't know how to do something... I will find out!
I am always on the look out for interesting side projects where I feel I can provide value. I will never take on a project that I feel I can not add value to.
