A bit about me: I’ve been working professionally as a writer for over five years. I’ve been freelance for a year and a half, and worked regularly with several clients including RetroFuzz, HERRON + CO, Gray Matters and Stickyeyes.
I was previously the Editor and lead writer for The City Talking; a media company, agency and film studio. I was responsible for overseeing the editorial direction of The City Talking's quarterly magazine, as well as researching and writing feature articles. I also wrote film scripts, ran social media accounts and created content for the company’s clients, which included Rushbond, Tech Nation, LeedsBID and more.
In my spare time, I publish a bimonthly newsletter called post emosh which consists of features, interviews and essays.

In September 2017, I became the Editor of The City Talking's
print magazine. During my time as Editor, I wrote over 19
feature articles covering fashion, sport, creative industries and
pop culture. I conducted in-depth interviews across the UK and internationally. As a senior member of the creative team, I was
responsible for overseeing the editorial strategy of the magazine in collaboration with the company's Creative Director.
As Lead Copywriter for the agency side of the company, I wrote
articles, developed tone and ran social media accounts for clients
including Tech Nation, Rushbond PLC, LeedsBID & Leeds LEP.
● I wrote scripts for two feature-length films; As Good As It Gets?
And Leeds United Stories, Vol. 1. As Good As It Gets? was released on Amazon Prime, and reached the number one trending spot.
In October 2017, I hosted a live interview and Q&A with illustrator Richard Kilroy as part of Leeds Digital Fashion Week. The event was held at Sheaf St. in Leeds and was attended by
150 people.
