Public Sector Digital Transformation.
The project was for an organisation that funds skills training for further education (FE) in England. They support over 1,000 colleges, private training organisations, and employers with more than £4 billion of funding each year. This project was a pure agile delivery with over 30 developers to deliver a Contract Management solution to a public-sector organisation. Primary duties involved, writing C# classes and methods to orchestrate data across N-Service bus using MSMQ following SOAP, TDD, and open architecture principles. The project was a major digital transformation program sponsored by the government with council members and regional leaders' oversight in collaboration with Cap-Gemini consultants. To deliver this, we had a team of over 30 consultants. I was one of the leads heading a sprint team of 10 consultants. I assisted in running workshops with business analysts, outlined a configuration-based design for CRM. I worked with the Product Owners, CX consultants, Developers and Senior business stakeholders to understand requirements, plan sprints, estimate dev time, raise risks.
I also worked with the Solution Architecture team to design and agree on a process for integration and to establish configuration-based entity structures in CRM. In addition to this, I customised and built extensions for CRM using custom workflow activities, Plugins and JavaScript. With the support of senior developers, I also coded C# structures such as classes, methods and objects using SOLID design principles to help orchestrate data across the organisation. Design a broker management solution for an Insurance firm - part of the Lloyd's of London syndicates. Brokers handled most of the insurance book of business. The aim was to focus on highly-valued listings while also nurturing lower-valued relationships in the retail and wholesale team. The firm offered products in Marine Protection and Indemnity Clubs (P&I Clubs) and Equestrian Insurance. Output was a system to help track Broker and Prospect Broker relationships and to help maintain a healthy growing book of business across Wholesale and Retail business units. To deliver this, I ran several workshops - with both commercial and IT stakeholders, compiled SOW. I also carried out system customisation, system development, assisted on plugins and client-side JavaScript development. I also worked closely with the technical team to help formulate a data migration strategy. Requirement analysis, followed by documentation of the statement of works, including outlining CRM design and development effort and configuration for Microsoft CRM 2013 building entity and security model in MSCRM 2013 and supporting a senior developer with integration to the internal database.
