Reporting to the CEO, grew and led a team from 8 to 12 including Product Managers, UX Designers, Frontend, Backend, DevOps and Data Engineers. Used Agile principles and Scrum methodology to devise fresh and new ways of working, embedding them within the team to drive efficiencies in product development
● Responsible for building and maintaining the cloud infrastructure through continuous deployment/delivery,
comprising of the customer web-application, admin panel, backend API, MySQL database, and all integrations with third parties for warehousing, email marketing, payments, couriers etc.
● Launched a range of prescription medication (erectile dysfunction, hair loss and weight loss treatments) through
integrating with a partner pharmacy's API, adopting a drop-ship model. The range has a revenue run-rate of £3.5m
● Owned the roadmap, strategy and product vision. Developed a cross-functional prioritisation process to facilitate
planning, and ensure the Product & Tech function is delivering key business goals and customer-led requirements
● Driven by legal regulations, led the successful migration from Stripe to Adyen for all customer payment processing
in under 8 weeks (a record time according to Adyen)
● Based on customer feedback, launched three new products (vitamins, condoms and deodorant), and built a new
system to facilitate delivery frequency at a product level, resulting in incremental revenues of over £2m p.a.
● Restructured and redesigned the website from a purely shaving to a multi-product flow, representing the new company direction. This led to an increased average order value of 30% and conversion of 22%
● Took a minimum viable product approach to deliver dynamic customer discounting functionality, a new customer
cancellation flow, an in-house CRM tool, an automated customer help centre and a data warehouse and visualisation tool for users to analyse data and create reports/dashboards
