• As sole developer on a critical project for the group, I designed and implemented an automated pipeline
for combining consumer data from large and often intractable sources to form a data lake in AWS.
• Designed and engineered a process for enriching client CRM data with fields from the above data lake,
running customer profiling analytics on the enriched data and recommending candidates for targeted
marketing, all of which is automated downstream of the initial matching process.
• Conducted Natural Language Processing research on a large quantity of text submitted to consumer
research forums run by the company. This work aided, sped up and often replaced work previously done
hands-on by insight professionals.
• Consulted and advised on the architecture of the company's primary data warehouse.
• Took on a number of ad-hoc engineering tasks for a parter organisation, data analytics consultancy Bonamy
Finch. These include partial migration of data storage to AWS, migrating machine learning model training to AWS Sagemaker, performing analytics on large datasets in Apache Spark and automation of data science solutions that were previously carried out manually.
