The Maritime business unit of TP Group is a leading supplier of specialist submarine air purification equipment.
As Project Engineer within the project department I ensure that all engineering work is carried out in accordance with
specifications, statutory requirements, laws, rules, regulations and other contractual requirements, and with due regard to for safety, operability and maintainability. I am the main technical point of contact for the French ship builders Naval
Group. I am responsible for the delivery and commissioning of life support equipment to them, including the setting to work on board their nuclear powered submarines.
My duties have included:
• Responsibility for the provision of costing estimates and the planning of projects.
• Assisting in the negotiation and evaluation of tender documents, and the contract terms and conditions
• Lead engineer accountable for the overall project lifecycle from Concept through to Delivery.
• Responsible for the system architecture, dimensioning, development and improvement.
• Prepare contract documentation for procurement services and materials.
• The writing of detailed test plans and project reports.
• Monitoring of activities against the schedule within project plans.
• Compile test qualification schedules.
• Updating project plans and managing change.
• Managing project budgets and keeping costs down.
• Overseeing the maintenance of projects after completion.
• Responsibility for the completion of all supporting documentation.

• Routine and regular customers liaison to ensure the design and manufacture of products are to agreed
budgets and time frames.
As Project Engineer within the new product/new business department I carried our research of technical solutions to improve existing equipment. I generated numerical models describing air purification equipment, in addition, I designed
test RIGs and created test plans to validate my mathematical models.
My duties have included:
• First point of technical contact between TPG Maritime and the French customer for all correspondence
forging a strong link with the project departments.
• Assist the financial department with invoicing.
• Check compliancy of project internal decisions with the customer's desires, contract and customer's
specification.
• Coordinate activities linked to the delivery of contractually bound deliverables.
• Propose, negotiate and agree contract amendments with customers.
