I decided to offer a contingency based headhunting and resourcing consultancy service to both end user clients as well as other recruitment companies. I have established some excellent relationships, with the majority of my business now repeat or by way of recommendation. As more of my work was in the capacity of a resourcer for other agencies I decided to broaden into other sectors. I have continued to work within Telecoms but have also gained experience within the IT, Financial Services Industry both in the UK and overseas and within Accountancy and Finance. Always within fast paced industries with a constant demand for successful professionals, as such identifying and contacting the best available candidates is key.
Highlights include:
• Sourcing of sales people who are now delivering in excess of £40m annual revenue to their businesses
• Received instruction from a new client to source 2 "problem" roles that had been open for 9 months. I identified and ultimately placed 2 candidates within 8 weeks
• Successfully sourced Marketing Director, Office manager and 6 Sales agents within an agreed 12 week period
• Developed a variety of innovative and cost effective solutions to clients during the height of the recruitment downturn which enabled them to scale my services to suit their budgets.
Reason for leaving: I have very much enjoyed working for myself but have increasingly found "running" a business taking up more time than the recruitment.
