Global IT Project Manager
Swissport.
As an IT Project Manager I am responsible for the leading and managing medium to large Global IT programs and projects with a budget between EUR100K to EUR 10 M. Through effective stakeholder analysis I'm able to form a high performing project team comprising of team members with the appropriate skills to deliver excellent results. By utilising my leadership skills, I maintain a highly motivated team which remains dedicated to the successful delivery of the project.
My responsibilities include:
• Continuous improvement of our project management methodology and tools
• Budgeting and Cost Controlling of both CAPEX and OPEX project expenditure
• Risk assessment and mitigation plans
• Service Design and Implementation
• IT Security controls and considerations
• Change Management to assist with project rollout
• Manage stakeholders up to C-Level project steering
• Procurement through RFI/RFP/RFQ Process
• Legal assessment of commercial proposals to ensure Global compliance
• GDPR Compliance
Over the previous 12 months I have been responsible for leading and managing some high profile and strategically important projects within Swissport. The first of which was the upgrade to our Globally deployed Cargo Management System and its surrounding infrastructure. Due to a high number of interdependent interfaces and third-party applications, this was a high-risk project. The project lasted 7 months from Idea to Closure and saw the successful upgrade within the planned downtime window causing minimal disruption to our Cargo operations.
I was also the Pilot Rollout lead for our Modern Workplace program, the goal of which was to migrate pilot users from Windows 7 FAT Clients and Citrix desktops over to Windows 10. This involved working closely with regional Field Services teams to ensure that all user requirements were met, and the relevant licenses were purchased and assigned. After the Pilot rollout of new devices, I was responsible for tracking issues, facilitation resolution and coordinating with other Stream Leads to ensure the fixes were applied for the Global solution. Overall, the Pilot was deemed a success and was approved for Rollout to all regions around the world.

job
IT Support Officer
Swissport.
I’m primarily responsible for a user base of approximately 2800 I.T. Consumers throughout the UK & Ireland as well as collaborating with my colleagues at a global level. While my role is predominantly hardware/software desktop/server support it can also be extremely diverse. We have many servers and standalone systems which require installation and support while remaining aware of their idiosyncrasies.
I’ve been a key member within many project teams aimed at modernising and transforming the services we deliver to our I.T. Consumers. My experience within project teams varies from being a team member to the departmental lead reporting directly to the project manager. As a project lead I drive the required change through the business and maintain a high performing team to ensure deadlines are met.
I also deputise for the I.T. Support Services Manager UK & IE. This involves leading the team in his absence and ensuring we maintain our high level of service to the business. I assist my team members with any problems or concerns they raise while encouraging them to take the required steps towards resolution themselves.
Other areas of my responsibility require me to ensure that company policies, procedures and processes are kept up to date and incorporate the most recent guidelines and software versions. All processes must be accompanied by relevant RACI charts so they can be interpreted correctly.
