When I joined, Auto Skills UK were a boutique consultancy supplying contract staff to the UK motor industry. Under my leadership, the business is now a major player in the UK automotive recruitment market.
•A very hands on role to Lead and motivate a team of 7 consultants who had previously been left with no management or focus. Instigate a robust process covering sales, clients, job orders and placements to generate new business outside of company's core market with UK accident repairers. Redesigned all media new business campaigns including database, web and email.
•The business was driven by contract placements. I saw an opportunity to develop permanent sales revenue with existing and new clients. This new business stream delivered more than £500k per year.
•Arranging and attending client visits, planning and delivering board level presentations to win new business. Interviewing candidates around the UK.
•Personally developed new business and signed PSL agreements with Volvo Truck and Bus UK, Hyundai UK, Scania, MAN Trucks, Nationwide Crash Repair, Ford Retail, Northgate vehicle hire PLC and countless other corporate clients.
•Overall, increased sales of the company from £1.5 million T/O and 15% GP to c£5 million T/O with c21% GP. Leading from the front, my own personal billings contributed greatly to the overall sales and were on average £180,000 per annum.
