I believe I would be an asset to any company that is willing to employ me on a fulltime, contract or temporary basis for the following reasons:
• I have many years of experience both in being the customer and implementing new systems as well as Consulting, Selling and Training. I am also at that point in my career where I want to nurture new talent and give back in the working environment.
• I can relocate almost anywhere in the UK and I have no problem with traveling on the British Road, Rail or Air System. I am a very driven, goal achieving person and I get a real kick out of doing the job properly. I can also work independently, and I do not clock-watch. A deadline is a deadline and I will do everything I can in order to reach that deadline.
• As I was not able to attend University, I started my career as a basic bookkeeper to TB, I was then employed as an Accountant, then Financial Manager followed by CFO. I have been running my own business for the last few years. Unfortunately, due to the South African Economy, the work has pretty much dried up in SA.
• I have worked in the Accounting, Manufacturing, Wholesale, Retail, Banking, HR and Motor Car sectors to name a few.
• I started working on Software systems almost as soon as they become available. I started with an Accpac Sales and Stock system, Lotus 123 and Access Payware systems.
• I have used and implemented an enormous amount of software solutions, including Pastel, QuickBooks, Sage Accounting, Xero Paterson Derived Job Evaluation (2008), Timeline (a reporting system), IDU (a budgeting solution), Crystal reporting, Sequel and the whole of MS Office.
• I have also assisted in the design of a bespoke ERP system. I have always been able to learn and access whatever backend system is being used for operations and due to my Accounting and Mathematical skills I can normally find where the problem has occurred in the software.
• I can talk to anyone from clerks to the Management team and I know how to make an impact on my audience immediately.
• I have also implemented and designed Internal Controls that have resulted in a no-theft environment and I also have achieved the impossible task of running an annual audit where no Management Report has been required as I make sure that everything in my department and the many other departments that contribute towards Company Management are in place and being used correctly.
• I have also done a ton of presentations no matter what the subject is. I am a good public speaker and I have mentored many junior/mid/senior employees.
• I have done many short courses to keep up to date with the latest and greatest. I can work in a SaaS environment as I have had so much experience in creating solutions for many different companies. Certificates are available on request.
• I have become a Certified Consultant for Sage Accounting, Payroll and HR Solutions as well as training and supporting the different requirements.
• I am also a Certified MS Excel (basic to advanced+) trainer.
• I have completed my certificate as a full MS Office 2016 Master.
• Analysis from Cambridge (to upscale to UK standards, GAAP and IFRS) as well as updating my skills on Sequel reporting and inquiries. Bearing all of this in mind I am the perfect Accountant, Software Implementation Consultant, Trainer, and Support.
I am a very young 67-year-old South African, who has absolutely no intention of retiring, that is looking for work in the UK. My husband for the last 26 years is a British Citizen and has already relocated to the UK and has been here for the last 11 months.
