Senior Software Developer
HPE.
• Built an Angular (v6) web portal for user registration and an extensive .Net API as part of a large project.
• Updated several C#.Net API endpoints for user registration and routing data between a third party API and an Azure Service Bus.
• Built a series of Chef cookbooks for configuring Azure resources in a POC Azure core infrastructure project.
o I had to learn Chef (and therefore Ruby) whilst building them.
o It also required me to have a solid understanding of the core infrastructure design so that I could
implement the cookbooks correctly.
• Taught myself GoLang and then developed a command line tool using it. The tool functions by replacing
tokens in template files using a master parameter file.
o I thoroughly enjoyed learning Golang and the project as I enjoy developing and furthering my skills
not just in languages I already know but new languages too.
• Several projects have been run using Agile (SCRUM) principles.

RedPixie.
Built a POC web portal that could manage Azure resources (e.g. read and update tags) which comprised of an Angular 6 web application and a C#.Net API to communicate with the Azure API (using the Azure .Net helper library).
o This was a challenging project, particularly authenticating the web application into Azure and I
learnt a great deal about the underlying mechanism.
• Helped re-engineer a web application which utilised HTML(5), CSS (LESS, Bootstrap) and AngularJS.
o The project required me to rapidly learn (and master) AngularJS and adapt to its dynamic MVC
methodology.
o I really enjoyed learning the framework and have continued to learn other frameworks ever since
(including Angular v2+ and ReactJS).
o Despite time sensitivity, we built a successful, fully featured product. Also redevelop the C#.Net web
API, utilising LINQ and entity framework to interact with a SQL database, this again requiring me to quickly skill up in C# and LINQ.
• Developed a number of Azure Resource Management (ARM) Templates for a client to provide them with a
light-touch repeatable deployment in which to host a multitude of client facing applications.
• Re-engineered an Excel calculation engine that utilised Azure's service bus messaging infrastructure, Azure
worker/web roles and SpreadSheetGear in C#.Net. Then further redeveloped this to move the calculation
worker role into Azure Service Fabric and the web API (web) role into an Azure App Service Environment
(ASE).
• Completed a piece of investigative work into two Cloud Management Platforms for a client and tested them
against a rigorous set of MoSCoW requirements.
• Developed an installer for an in house developed web application that integrates with Active Directory/SQL
server using Windows Forms and .Net.
