2012 - 2019
job
Head of office / Associate Director
Weber.
• I worked with Weber Shandwick for seven years, initially leading the Aberdeen office and latterly as part of the Scottish senior management team.
• I regularly tendered for and won new business for the consultancy, writing strategic proposals and preparing pitch
materials.
• I am used to working with the C-suite to support the delivery of my clients' business plans.
• My client base gave me a wealth of experience across the energy, transport, aviation and hospitality sectors.
Recent projects include:
- The launch of the Aberdeen Sandman Hotel: Throwing an event for over 300 guests as the hotel and restaurant
opened their doors to the public. As well as traditional media relations this project included establishing and managing their social media channels and content.
- Chapelton, the making of a town: The development is being led by the Elsick Development Company, the Duke and Duchess of Fife. Having worked with them since I joined Weber Shandwick in 2012, our remit was public affairs
during the planning stages of the project. Once they broke ground in 2013, we started to use public relations to promote the new town to prospective home buyers. Latterly I worked with the Duchess to develop the town's
profile not only a residential town, but also as a destination. As part of this repositioning we conducted research with the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce. Using the insights gained, we produced an events
programme for the town. I also managed the content for their social media channels writing and scheduling posts
on a weekly basis.
- The Events Complex Aberdeen (TECA): Working for Robertson Construction, the primary contractor for the construction of TECA, I worked with Aberdeen City Council and the other project partners to profile the new
facility.
PR clients included:
Bristow Helicopters, Chapelton, CNOOC, Robertson Construction, Serco NorthLink Ferries and the Sandman Hotel / Chop Bar & Grill.
Emergency response clients included:
Emily M Mitchell
Sleeper, and Subsea 7.
