Marketing & Corporate Event Manager
Wellington Country Park.
This new role was created to build on the results delivered in my previous role. It became clear that the park needed to expand its digital marketing activities. I relished this opportunity to develop my Marketing knowledge and experience further.
As Marketing Manager, I manage, research, strategise and plan all social media posts, newsletters, print adverts and online advertising. Our social following has grown to over 25,000 people across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I am launching a YouTube channel for the park to build on the inclusion and development of video media within our approach over the past year. Hootsuite is used to pre-plan all posts as well as gain analytical reports to be able to understand our audience and what they prefer to see, whilst also ensuring we are promoting our key services. More recently, we have used Trello to manage the development and re-branding of our existing website and media, both digital and in print.
Additionally, I am the main contact for all Corporate Events, from enquiries and bookings through to completion. This includes the planning of the events, any activities that have to be pre-planned and the use of external suppliers. It also includes pre-event meetings with clients and training/over-seeing our relevant staff members. Key achievements in this area are a treasure hunt I organised, designed and ran for a Waitrose team-building day as well as hosting Three's Party in the Park for directors and management over a period of four days with over 1,500 guests.
Within my role, due to my experience and ability with IT, I am also the main contact for staff and our external suppliers regarding all electronic equipment and services on-site including computers and till systems. Last year I implemented a new till system and software so that the business is able to gain improved marketing data and information. I managed this project using the Asana project management tool.
