The role overlooked the operations of The Belvoir Castle Estate; Visitors, Weddings, Corporate, Engine Yard Retail village, Shoot, Rental properties/shooting lodges and B&B. Acting Head of Marketing, Head of Events. Project managing from event planning and delivery to marketing strategy and operational logistics to being the advisory for all the retail tenants. Licensing, compliance, logistic and leadership of a team of 8, who have their reports daily.
In six months I initiated new processes to cross sell all categories. Rearranged the Marketing department to work more efficiently with the external agency stakeholders. Created an annual marketing strategy, created brand guidelines and established an events calendar. Created a media planner for all categories moving into 2020. Introduced some creative ideas to bring in revenue through events, workshops and activities.
Moved the business into digital marketing, growing social media numbers significantly since joining the business. Introduced digital advertising within the strategic planning for all categories of the business. Introduced Salesforce and processes for sales and bookings. Engaged with influencers and media to maximise exposure.
Liaised with all the retail tenants to reinstall confidence of the footfall marketing strategy and created a calendar of events that should continue into the new year and beyond. Introduced new stakeholders to the business to provide regular external markets to attract regular visitors. Set in place off peak incentives that have proven to bring in business to the area on a weekly basis.
Introduced a graphic designer to work on maintaining continuity with the brand. Created brand values through internal insights and the brand guidelines to move the business forward.
With targeting the brand identity with main and sub brands, I increased footfall, exceeding expectations and set processes into place that will help maintain the organisation with future growth. It has been a challenging role that I have made positive changes quickly. I left this role due to health issues.
